we work out

so as many of you know four months ago i popped out the very beautiful, super intelligent, hilariously funny, artist in the making, Piccolo Sophia (bias much)

even thinking about getting a shower was a mission in the first few weeks, so to even eye my gym stuff up and down and get excited about a run, swim, gym, dance class had me consulting in army intelligence!

when the P girl was about 5 weeks old i got in touch with super moma jenny from mothersmeeting, who invited me down to a story telling session at Foyles, Westfield. apart from crying her way through the whole of fudgy bears appearance (and me still been unsure how the hell you stop a crying baby, crying) i kind of had fun (that may have been the free glass of bubbles).

at this first meet i didn't really get to chat to many of the momas, which was a huge shame as i know no others in london, the north, or anywhere, so was kind of hoping to go to this one hour meeting and boom, heaps of new moma friends ... day dreamer.

not to worry though the mothermeeting x nike 1948 classes were on the horizon. which yes, does result in having coffee and slice of cake after, but its also a full hour of workout madness, leaving you unable to pick up your baby, stroll with her in the pushchair or shake a bottle the next day; all without noticing too much that your putting every once of energy from last nights four hour sleep into it! its also bagged me some super cool new moma friends to have the whole 'my tits are now like tea pig tea bags' chat with!

big thanks to mr motivator who kicks my ass every week and marawa who attempted to teach me the hula hoop on Thursday, its nails! the gym kit doesn't look so scary now, i know what and when the best times are for me to do mini work outs and i even managed a three mile run the other day!

woop, we work out ...

go team!

WIM: cos 5th anniversary shirt

there are 100's of white shirts out on the high street at the moment, but unless your ignoring the price tag of a jil sander, then finding the perfect one isn't as easy as one first thought.

until now ...

COS, or Collection Of Style, is a Swedish fashion retailer owned by the H&M group which aims to provide quality and high-end design at affordable prices, creating pieces that are timeless yet modern. (a simple goal yet one scarily scarce on the high street previously.) i love browsing their stores; they’re always immaculately merchandised, well-edited, and have me wanting at least every neon piece in there.

to celebrate their 5th anniversary they’ve looked back through their womenswear collections and revisited 5 white shirts from previous seasons. every shirt has something they feel is timeless, which will last for many years to come. the shirts are all quite different and are all absolutely beautiful. i stuck gold with NO.5; 3/4 boxy perfectness, hiding a multitude of new moma sins. i plan on buying at least one more, if i can get my grubby mitts on any in a size 10.
